#1. Welcome address by President of UEAA E. Horská
President Elena Horská welcomed the participants of the SC meeting and asked for approval of the SC Agenda (see above). It was approved.
#2. Approval of SC meeting Minutes (March, 17, 2023)
Minutes from SC meeting March, 17, 2023 were approved.
#3. Discussion about Moldova memberships at UEAA – invited guest, representative of Moldava, prof. Vasile Botnari.
Prof. Vasile Botnari accepted SC UEAA invitation to take a part at the SC meeting and discuss potential position of an observer. Prof. Vasile Botnari introduced himself from professional point of view and expressed his interest to be the observer and this way to enrich mutually position and activities of agricultural academies at the national and the European level.
#4. Information on Best scientific abstract competition 2023 – latest development
Situation on Best scientific abstract competition 2023 was discussed and several mistakes on content of the website promotion were identified. Prof. Michel Duclos expressed his interest to improve it and communicate with UEAA web content manager in this matter. Also, the authors of scientific abstracts already submitted were contacted due to keep recommended structure of the submitted abstract.

- Gene Editing News from the EU Swedish Presidency and agriculture policy Planning of the Newsletters
was presented by Tomas, Kerstin and Michel. More active participants for EWG CAP after 2027 would be needed. Kerstin mentioned that Royal Swedish Academy of Agriculture and Forestry will organize the workshop in October 2023.
Michel thanked Kerstin for her long-term and valuable support of UEAA activities and important topics including gene editing and forestry.
It is necessary to think about continuity and person responsible for topics of gene editing and forestry ….

#7. Miscellaneous
Due to low number of abstracts submitted to the Best Abstract Competition and also due to low activity of the national academies in EWG CAP Elena proposed to update the database of contacts, during summer period. File attached.
During SC meeting the National Academy of Agrarian Science of Ukraine was represented by prof. Shamil Ibatullim, Deputy Director for Research of Land Management Institute. He expressed the interest of NAAS to participate on UEAA activities and he will represent the NAAS as the observer of UEAA.
Meeting ended at 12:00 (noon time CET).
