#1. Welcome address by President of UEAA E. Horská
President Elena Horská welcomed the participants of the SC meeting and asked for approval of the SC Agenda (see above). It was approved.
#2. Approval of SC meeting Minutes (March, 2024)
Minutes from SC meeting March 22, 2024 were approved.
#3. Strategic dialogue – a future for EU agriculture
Elena Horská reported on communication with the Chair of the Strategic Dialogue on the Future of EU Agriculture professor Peter Strohschneider and given opportunity to UEAA to contribute to the Strategic Dialogue. Also, there was express a big gratitude to Dr. Carmel Cahil regarding her input and input of the members of EWG to the prepared concept. SC UEAA approved the document “EWG of the UEAA on the CAP – Input to the Strategic Dialogue on the future of EU agriculture”. Dr. Carmel Cahil also participated at this part of the program and commented whole process. It is a great opportunity for UEAA to be a part of the Strategic Dialogue and discuss the future of the EU Agriculture. Special thanks was expressed by Michel Thibier, Ioan Jelev, Kerstin, Tomas and Evi, Baiba and Simone to Carmel for her valuable contribution in supporting whole process. Best scientific abstract competition 2024 was open and call for abstract is available on the UEAA website and information was forwarded to all European academies.

#5. Correspondence from Ukraine
Elena Horska informed about the letter received from the National Academy of the Agrarian Sciences of Ukraine with a proposal to hold an online scientific event. They sent also the list of 8 selected topics.
SC UEAA discussed the topic and interest of NAAS. Nazim, Michel, Kerstin and Ioan presented some opinions and proposals. All SC UEAA appreciates and supports this initiative of NAAS and has several proposals:
- To select 1 – 2 topics and start to plan future online event
- To invite expert from UA to participate at GA UEAA and symposium in Bucharest online/offline.
- To provide possibilities to publish newsletter on UEAA website
#6. General Assembly UEAA 2024 in Romania
Vicepresident prof. Ioan Jelev informed about the process of preparation of GA UEAA and symposium.
Current status of registration:
- 24 participants of which 11 participants in person and 9 online (Sweden, France, Latvia, Lithuania, Romania, Moldova, Bulgaria, Italy, Hungary, Albania, Slovakia)
- 5 research papers for symposium.
- Registration is still open
#7. Brainstorming regarding the Young Academies
Nazir proposed to support and activate young scientists, and promote cooperation across the Europe and connect national activities. He proposed also some organizations/association, e.g. www.allea.org Support of your scientist become important issue for next UEAA activities.
