Andalusian – Academy of agriculture
01 10 2026
The Andalusian Academy of Agriculture (Academia Andaluza de Agricultura) is a scientific and advisory body established by the Regional Government of Andalusia in 2026. Spain’s first Academy of Agriculture, it is based at the Almería Science and Technology Park and forms part of the Institute of Academies of Andalusia.

The Academy promotes scientific knowledge, innovation, and sustainability in the agri-food sector. Its priorities include strengthening links between research and agricultural practice, providing independent advice to policymakers, addressing climate change and water scarcity, and supporting education and agricultural heritage. It works closely with universities, research centres, producers, and agro-industrial companies. Its activities reflect the region’s diverse agricultural systems, including greenhouse horticulture, olive growing, berry and subtropical fruit production, and traditional agro-pastoral farming.
