#1. Welcome address by President of UEAA E. Horská
President Elena Horská welcomed the participants of the SC meeting and asked for approval of the SC Agenda (see above). It was approved.

#2. Approval of SC meeting Minutes (March, 22, 2024)
Minutes from SC meeting March 22, 2024 were approved.

#3. Best Scientific Abstract Competition 2023 – presentation of winning abstract and scientific discussion.
In total, 28 abstracts were submitted, reflecting concerns and results of high-value and up-to-date research undertaken in various European countries. Following an in-depth two-stage evaluation process, the top 7 best finalist abstracts were selected, presented in the Table below. Three best abstracts were selected for presentation. Presentation was followed by scientific discussion. Winners were awarded with certificates and information is provided on ueaa website.

In the second stage, after an in-depth analysis, the top three winners were determined.

After the official part the next round of the Best Scientific Abstract Competition was discussion, namely principles, contents and difficulties. SC UEAA meeting decided that Online meeting will be organized dedicated to this specific topic. Meeting was held in April, 12, 2024 at 10:00 am and report of the meeting is attached.

#3. General Assembly UEAA 2024 in Romania
Deadline for registration has been prolonged. GA UEAA will be organized in hybrid mode.

#4. Updates: Gene editing, Forest strategy, CAP
Strategic dialogue on the Future of EU agriculture was discussed. It was stated it is a big privilege for UEAA to be invited. Also the invitations to other agricultural academies in the EU were identified.

Carmel Cahill as the representative of WG CAP has shown a great support in increasing the visibility of UEAA in this dialogue.

Elena Horska proposed the newsletter on 100 years anniversary of the Czechoslovak Agricultural Research
